Casting Research

Regarding the casting for our music video, we preferably wanted to choose people who had an interest in the alternative genre, as they would be able to perform enthusiastically. Confidence is also a key element needed, as they would need to be used to being in front of the camera, to be able to convey the message we wanted to communicate to the viewer. 

In terms of relating it to the song, 'Brother', we wanted to base the storyline off the lyrics, therefore, we would need two male characters, who could portray brothers. With all these elements in mind, we eventually chose two male twin brothers, Ben and Jack Thompson to be our actors. They are both extremely confident in front of the camera, making filming it much easier for both us and them. Moreover, they love the band we have chosen, helping the lip syncing part to be more realistic and enjoyable on their part. As well as this, their style and appearance are similar to the band itself, making our promotional music video, magazine, and digipak more true to the genre.
