Focus Group Feedback - Magazine Advertisement

Focus Group Feedback



Out of our initial ideas, we decided this magazine advertisement was the one we wanted to develop further. After asking our focus group, they agreed this was the strongest. To make it as engaging and effective as possible, we asked our focus group for feedback and ways to improve upon it. 


Amy:
  • I like how it is the same colour scheme as the video and the digipak, giving continuity across the promotion of the product
  • I like how the silhouette heads are the same as on the album digipak
  • I like how it represents the emotion between the two characters
To improve-
  • The fonts could be more interesting, such as having the two different fonts similar to the digipak


Rhiannon:
  • I like the silhouette heads
  • I really like it
To improve-
  • The texts juxtapose too much with eachother, possibly have the same font for both the title and the artist


Ben:
  • I like the fonts used as they are engaging and clear to see
  • I also like how the characters from the video are displayed as silhouettes
To improve-
  • The colours look really similar and could be boring to look at, perhaps make the colours darker to increase contrast


Joe:
  • I like the contrast between the black silhouettes and the colours in the background
  • I also like the style of the text that says 'Brother' and how it matches the bold colours
  • However, the cursive text at the bottom doesn't fit the style of the poster and doesn't look as engaging
To improve-
  • Include a different font for 'The Hunna' to match the theme and style and make it look more engaging
