Idea 1-
Concept based video following two brothers, including a variety of shot sizes. Blue and orange smoke flares to be used during the chorus, to symbolise different meanings, such as emotions to relate to our target audience. It will be set in the evening in several different locations, as this is a popular style in indie music videos. The two brothers will be the focal point, to link to the name and the lyrics of the song.
Idea 2-
One of the brothers is the focal point throughout the video, however in the chorus, he is joined by his brother, to represent how he is not alone. A more narrative based video following the boy having a difficult time following his separation from his long-term girlfriend. As like many alternative videos, a variety of shots and locations will be used, as well as other characters, to represent the past and present events in his life. The different cuts will emphasise how much he wants his brother to be there, before the video ends with his brother appearing behind him and it cuts to black.
Idea 3-
Narrative based video, based on the past and built up of memories of the relationship together as brothers. The shots of them together will be in black and white to emphasise how its a distant memory and how the boy misses him. In the chorus, the shots will still be in black and white but the coloured flares will be shown in colour to emphasise their meanings. Both brothers will be shown playing with the smoke flares together during the chorus of the song, whereas in the rest of the video the shots will cut between black and white shots of them both, and coloured shots of one of the brothers.
Idea 4-
Narratively focusing on one of the brothers after his breakup with his girlfriend. His relationship with his brother is a key element in the video, as the lyrics show, he needs his support. The build up throughout the video ends in him reaching out for his brother's help after being on his own.
